South Perth, April 2024 – Barking Butler Grooming Studio is thrilled to announce that its Directors, Lynnie and Charlotte, have recently returned from an extensive international professional development journey. This initiative is part of their unwavering commitment to providing unparalleled grooming services to their valued clients and solidifying Barking Butler's position as a leader in the pet grooming industry in Australia.
In March 2024, the journey commenced with a visit to the Singapore Pet Expo. This vibrant event offered Lynnie and Charlotte a wealth of inspiration and fresh ideas on the latest retail offerings in the pet industry. The insights gained will be instrumental in enhancing the retail shelves of Barking Butler, bringing innovative products and solutions to their beloved clients.
Lynnie said, about her experience at the 2024 Singapore Pet Expo; “It was amazing to see that just about every pet visiting the expo was brought along by their owner in a special doggy pram or cat stroller, they were everywhere! My 2-year-old grandson came along to the Expo with us across the three days, and we were pushing him in his pram. We found it quite amusing that someone came up to me and remarked how he was the only human they had seen in a pram all weekend!”
Charlotte said, about her experience at the Singapore Pet Expo; “There were so many modern pet trends on display, from gourmet, sustainably sourced pet food options, like powdered broths to improve health and well-being, to freeze-dried treats. We loved seeing all the pet fashion trends including elaborate clothing, as well as stylish dog boots and shoes! Trends in grooming products appeared to be inspired from natural and sustainable sources, and we also loved checking out the electrolysed water sprays that seem to be very popular, especially for dirty paw pads going from park to couch, being used for daily sanitisation and hygiene in pet households across Asia”.
Following their visit to Singapore, the duo traveled to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Here, they immersed themselves in a week-long intensive grooming course at the esteemed Pets Icon International Grooming Academy, specialising in Asian Fusion styling. Under the tutelage of Master Groomer, Valerie Khoo, NCMG, Lynnie and Charlotte honed their skills and absorbed cutting-edge techniques.
Lynnie, driven by a passion for excellence, extended her stay in Kuala Lumpur to complete an additional week-long professional Show Grooming course with a focus on Poodle show trims. Her dedication did not go unnoticed, as she was personally invited to join the exclusive Teacher Program, further deepening her expertise.
The journey continued to Doncaster, United Kingdom, where Lynnie and Charlotte trained under the legendary Master Groomer, Pammie Carmichael-Hogg, IPG. This advanced styling and technique training provided them with one-on-one insights and expertise from another internationally renowned groomer, enhancing their grooming repertoire.
Reflecting on the experience, Lynnie shared, "This journey was immensely valuable. The knowledge and skills we have acquired will significantly benefit our business, staff, and clients. We are dedicated to continuous improvement and professional development to ensure that Barking Butler remains at the forefront of the grooming industry."
